Ergonomics ensures the job is fitted to the individual, not the individual to the job.

People are spending increasing periods of time at their workstations. Prolonged periods of sitting and static posture can lead to symptoms of pain and Health and Safety issues.

At Belfield Physiotherapy we have over 20 years experience in the area of ergonomics.

The Employer has a duty of care to all the people who work on their premises, employees and contractors. (Health and Safety Display Screen Equipment Regulations 1992)

What does an Ergonomic Assessment cover?

A physiotherapist will visit your work place and assess the requirements of your work, your workstation and the equipment you use. Risk factors will be highlighted, immediate adjustments may be carried out and recommendations will be made to address your working function and working posture.
A detailed report will be written and sent to the individual.

How will an Ergonomic Assessment help me?

An assessment will ensure that the workstation is set up appropriately for you and identify problems that may cause or contribute to musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
